Interesting question
I suspect quite a lot. I understand that during periods when the Earth's field reverses itself, there are periods when the shielding is decreased considerably, but that's not happening right now.
There are a lot of natural disasters that cause people to worry about what might happen to life on Earth, but I find it comforting that life has survived hundreds of millions of years on this planet despite many such disasters, including a somewhat fidgety star.
