I just feel very uneasy about this sort of thing, high technology is very seductive, it makes those of us who have worked in the field very enthusiastic, dangerously so, in my opinion.
But you can't solve a problem by just throwing technology at it, any more than you can solve it by just throwing money at it. It kind of reminds me of all those highly advanced and elegant weapons the Nazis wasted so much effort on while they were losing the war.
