Many palestinian kids are dead, some because they were recruited as suicide bombers, others because they were in the same street as a Hamas leader...
I draw no equivalence between the two sides, I an just saying that the "good guys" have a lot of blood on their hands and the "bad guys" do have a legitimate cause for anger.... Do I think members of hamas deserve to win, or indeed, exist? NO! But the same goes for the militant hardliners on the israeli side- there are those on the israeli side that INTENTIONALLY increase hostilities... Are you comfortable being seen as supporting either side?
In WWII russia was the lesser evil, but we didnt support them long...
Anyway, all I am saying is the palestinans have real reasons to be angry- listen to the reasonable ones, hunt down the killers (hamas) but recognize that isreal has helped create these problems too...
I have heard rational people on both sides, and they all have legit points and peaceful ideas for solutions- as always the extremists speak louder, but by definition the extremists represent the minority... we will do well to remember that....
Anyone that takes this as "anti-isreal" is too stupid to argue with- this is just anti-stupidity, both sides are wrong... all we can argue is how wrong... and the lesser of two evils argument doesnt really seem dignified in this day and age... After all it was that argument that led us to prop up Saddam and give him weapons when he was fighting Iran... also same argument led us to give arms and money and training to those that would become the Taliban and al queda ,,,
I HAVE talked to ex members of the mujahadeen, one of whom loved to show his bullet wounds... OUR supporting of the afghan freedom fighters and then abandoning them allowed the taliban to take power...
we need to think longer term....

No Moral equivalency, but no moral high ground either....
