I don't understand how it is so easy for us to separate civilian from military casualties. The only casualties the U.S. has ever counted for itself (until 911)- were military. We killed (est.) 30.000 people in Iraq in a matter of weeks. Don't conveniently exclude the soldier in your calculations.
Why now? Why did the world wait 23 years and how did it suddenly become our sole responsibility?
