Once again

Once again Tom you both miss the point and contort my views.

The issues here are simple:

One, the Bush administration made a terrible and reckless mistake choosing to engage in a pre-emptive war in Iraq based upon a failed and disreputable intelligence; and,

Two, now that we're there, the Bush administration has incompetently handled the task of bringing peace, safety and security to Iraq.

This isn't about me "wanting Bush to fail." This is about the fact that he already has failed.

A simple comparson is instructive:

In the Bosnian/Serbian conflict not a single American life was lost in either the war or the reconstruction. The Clinton administration had secured genuine international support and participation. The American share of the costs of both the war and reconstruction was minor. And, we have Slobodan Milosevic in custody.

In Iraq, we've lost almost 400 American lives (with more on the way), failed to secured international support and participation, have incurred 90% of the costs, and have yet to capture Saddam Hussein.

Its a question of competence and our current President has failed upon all accounts. It amazing that you are unable to appreciate this simple fact. You amusingly regard anyone that points out just how badly Mr. Bush has failed as a "lefty" who want this nation to fail. My point is we can't afford any more failure. Its time to find a better President.
