This one has legs. I felt before the war ever started that it was important to conclude both the war and the occupation fast or Iraqi opinion would turn on us. You have been extremely selective in your outlook during this war ignoring both past world history and positive events in Iraq. However, it is now clear that unrest is either spreading or Saddam's remnants are getting more effective. The latter will lead to the former even if it is not currently true. The statements from the whitehouse seem to ignore the implications of this bad turn of events, but not as much as you, the Democrats, and press have ignored the good news. In private, however, it appears the administration is concerned as demonstrated by the abrupt recall of Bremmer to DC for consultation.

Mark
