A question on altitude coping

Does anyone here have experience with high altitude? I tend to handle 14,000 feet altitude ok most of the time, but sometimes (if I havent been up for a while) I have a REAL hard time. EVERYONE is impaired at that altitude, but sometimes I have a hard time just staying awake...

I have heard aspirin and other blood thinners help, and breathing techniques help too, but are there any other things that help people adjust to high altitude? (I have heard viagra is being tested to see if it helps... LOL - talk about stiff competition!)

I had to go through a lot of physicals before I worked on the mountain, A lot of visitors pass out up here... I havent passed out yet, but I have felt very ill-

any suggestions? There MUST be a few with medical experience here....
