I am very good at questioning standard wisdom, thank you, when there are reasons to do so. In these cases you mention i see no reason to. However, you seem to think there is, some why down't you come up with some reasons why these features cannot be exhumed craters?
It is worth remembering that standard wisdom does not become that without good reason and time. Doubting for doubting's sake is not particular helpful either, as it has to be fact based to be meaningful.
Remote sensing data is very parial and misleading. As Chris points out, ground truth is what is needed. In the short term what we have a probabilisitic answers. Even with ground truth, the answers are still often probabilistic. But that is the nature of planetary geology.
