One of the problems with creating a bureaucracy like the Office of Affirmative Action Compliance (this is a COUNTY office, folks) is that the people pulling down usually quite generous salaries have to come up with a valid reason that they are collecting said salaries. All sitting behind their desks, trying to protect their phoney-baloney jobs.

In other words, if there isn't a problem to solve, they have to invent one. Extrapolate this to thousands of bureaucracies at all levels of government and you begin to realize where our money is going and why we have to deal with so much crap.

Hopefully, they aren't going to discover "male" and "female" plugs...
