How about banning:
* the use of the term “gypâ€
* the hunt for synthetics for their fur
I gave a Korean neighbor of mine a lift to post when I was stationed in Italy, and she laughed at the car ahead of us. The word “turbo†was vividly stamped on the trunk -- which translated to “hairy†in Korean.
Some things, I think, you just can’t help, and there are worse things in this world than following a hairy car on a public highway.
Changing this terminology to something like primary and secondary, rather than master and slave, will defeat the master/slave picture, for a secondary object is not necessarily dependant upon a primary, any more than a primary object demands the support of a secondary. As it stands, some inanimate objects in this world are simply masters to their slaves, and some inanimate objects are slaves to their masters.
A compromise may be on its way to the tables now, but I feel it to be really nothing more than a defeat of purpose.
