If the argument of getting rid of Saddam in order to avoid more deaths is so important, then why
1) hasn't it been done before, when he was waging war against Iran ?
2) hasnt Bush sent a small motivated commando to kill Saddam and only do that?
3) hasn't he given Iraq back to the Iraqis as soon as Saddam was no threat anymore?
4) hasn't it been done in other countries where human rights are abused?
The current scenario is this:
1)The US is an occupying force with continuous casualties and complete uncertainties as to who's going to replace Saddam at the head of the country (or the 3 different countries that might be created).
2) Thousands of Iraqis died, killed by the war and also killed by Iraqis and Saddam is still somewhere, at large.
