The Left, including battalions of lawyers extending to the horizon, would dearly love to get something legal on the conservatives currently kicking their asses up and down the street. Jailing their opponents would be a LOT easier than defeating them in the realm of ideas.
If there was, or is, the slightest real legal case in any of these matters, rest assured it will be enthusiastically prosecuted. If it isn't, it's probably because there never was a real case.
