He's right. You're not.
The pathetic coverage by mainstream papers and cable news is a fact. And a "coalition go home" protest would have been on the front page of the New York Times. With photos. And you know it.
This protest rated one paragraph at the end of a long story about attacks on our forces.
The other major newspaper of national record, the Washington Post, has nothing at all that I could find, searching under "protest" and "iraq AND protest" except in this question and answer session. The reference:
Washington, D.C.: I was wondering why there wasn't more coverage, or any coverage, on the anti-terrorisim protest held in Iraq today. Yahoo had a picture but the story was of Saddam and his upcomming trial.
Chris Toensing: I've only seen this picture, so I'm not sure what the demonstration was about.
Toensing is listed as "executive director of Middle East Research and Information Project and editor of 'Middle East Report'" This interview took place on December 12, two days after the protests.
Have I made my point, or do we play "thick" on this one too?
