Weapons in orbit
Maybe weapons of mass destruction are prohibited in orbit, but I've seen some fascinating work on what can be done with what essentially is a piece of metal rebar with a guidance system, dropping from space at near-orbital velocity. You don't even need explosives, and with modern guidance technology (GPS, etc.), you can practically hit anything, which wasn't true when the idea was first developed.
