Most people huffy about hunting prefer that a member of the "lower classes" kill their meat for them somewhere out of sight and package it for easy use. Hey, so do I, but then I'm not huffy about hunting either, although I've never done it myself. My dad did, and in my early years actually put a lot of meat on the table by plugging pheasants in season in South Dakota. You could still chase my Mom out of the house with a cooked pheasant, and I can vaguely remember having to spit out little chunks of shot every now and then. Pheasant is not an easy bird to chew anyway.
Personally, I have a lot more respect for someone who eats meat who is willing to see the whole process through from beginning to end. Like my grandfather, who raised pigs and chickens. Or maybe he was evil because his victims were in pens, instead of roaming free?
Of course, I'm sure almost everyone here who disapproves of hunting is a vegetarian, i.e. has the lower classes pick their vegetables for them and package them for easy use.
