First, you express outrage that innocent people were killed on 9-11. Understandable.

What should an Iranian feel when the US overthrows the only democracy in the MIddle East, installs a dictator, teaches his intelligence service how to torture and funds that torture. As an Iranian would that upset you? The US has screwed with those people for years and years and years. And they should forget it? But this gets even sillier.

Now, "if you fly airliners into my office buildings, I get to bomb the shit our of your country". Think again.

It was Saudi Arabians who flew those airplanes into those buildings, and Saudi Arabians who funded the project. No Afghanistanis, no Iraqis, no Taliban. Saudi Arabians. Get it? No Afghanis, no Iraqis. None. That's very simple. And you can justify killing hundreds of thousands of people who were in no way to blame, whose leadership was in no way to blame. You are advocating simply slaughtering innocents, any innocents, because someone else slaughtered innocents.

Now, killing hundreds of thousands of completely innocent people to avenge the killing of thousands of innocent people is somehow morally justifiable? Justify it for me, please. Are you better, safer, or more superior because the US killed more innocents than anyone else? Tougher. Sort of like beating the shit out of your neighbors kid because a guy across town beat up your kid, isn't it. And then beat up his little sister, too.

The American way of warfare will never change, will never be effective, and like chopping up starfish, will only create more enemies, isolating America more and more as our economic influence wanes. We are too stupid to realize that as satisfying it is to our egos to blow something up, it is destructive to our country.

The US is rapidly becoming marginalized. The Chinese are maybe 5 years away from being able to obliterate our carrier Task Forces at will, which means they won't mean anything. The US is approaching the point where political alliances will be forged to protect smaller nations against the US, and those political alliances will lead to economic cooperation. And once the US has spent all it can borrow, it's going to be in a difficult place.

But simply because a stranger from East Armpit, Arkansas, shoots your neighbor does not give you the right to head off to West Armpit and kill anyone and everyone you can. That's simply foolish, and you know it.
