Mars Express is the main mission - Beagle 2 was essentially an afterthought - an add-on because they had the room. Since the very beginning, Beagle 2 has been more publicity stunt than real science.

Congrats to ESA for delivering their orbiter safely to the red planet. I look forward to seeing the sceince results from this, a third orbiter, now encircling Mars.
