Current Events » in reply to Wow. Back to "party of the rich," now? Think that'll work?

you think the Democrats want voters like you?

I think the Republicans would be delighted to be rid of people who think like you. The Democrats would be horrified if you changed to their side. While you vote Republican they have to have the court jester as President instead of someone who can do the job properly. People like you have made the Republican Party into a world wide laughing stock.

First it was Reagan who ended up so senile he couldn't remember sometimes which things happened in his movies and what happened in real life. Then there was poppy Bush and Quayle who acted like extras out of "Brother where art thou?". I guess people thought then that Quayle would be the all time idiot Republican until W came along. This is the kind of person you wanted to be in line for the presidency:

What a waste it is to lose one's mind. Or not to have a mind is being very wasteful. How true that is.

Voters like you live out their fantasies in politics. For you, it's some old novel and your frustration the world won't run that way. So the Republicans have to elect the Court Fool and hope the people behind can keep the country running.

The Democrats don't want you, they have their own lunatic fringe to contend with. You might try the silly party, they seem to fit in well with ideology:

My fellow Americans, the time has come for our nation to rise up and reject the false dichotomies of left and right, to embrace a bold new vision of change, to rally behind a visionary new third party: The SILLY PARTY!

If people like you joined the Democrats they'd have to have someone like Jim Carrey or Will Ferrell as president. Seriously don't you think Republicans are sick of having to pander to this nonstop bullshit? They have a proud tradition of fiscal conservatism and have to to turn themselves into this caricature to win votes, it must be so humilating for them.
