They are able to manipulate markets, businesses and people by using front businesses and moving their money through other banks in other countries. C'mon Ed, I thought you were smarter than that. Don't you remember the BCCI and the Italian national bank that all the Iran Contra funds were being laundered in? Front businesses. Plausible deniabilty. National Security. Oh, and the French smell a rat in Cheney's businesses in Nigerian oil. They say Cheney's Haliburton is being investigated on charges of bribery, money-laundering and misuse of corporate assets.
