YOU lighten up. I don't want to turn this into a pissing contest, but your long post to me was slightly derogatory, and I can't let it pass. First of all, I caught the idea that it was a scam right after I posted my views.....and I admitted it. Secondly, I said my brain was still foggy and that I hadn't had my coffee yet (my work schedule is sometimes different from everyone else's). And thirdly, this is what needs to be addressed. Your pessimistic view of me as woman that was slightly derogatory, leading you to make snide remarks about my critical thinking skills. Right now I would take this to the Flame board, but would like to point out that I fully explained myself and do not deserve these comments.

First, it was NOT a trap, when I wrote it I never thought anyone would take it seriously- I mean, didnt that bit about Tom Ridge throwing darts at a color chart clue you in? Or the possibility of banning phone books?!

Second, This has NOTHING to do with your gender- to imply it does impugns MY integrity...

Third, Lindy, calm down and look at my post objectively- if you had realized it was a simple parody of the Gov's "almanac warning" before you posted, you would have no problem with it at all... and wouldn't say it belonged in off-topic.

I will say this one last time, I wrote it to point out how silly we have gotten in our homeland security cause, I felt satire was the best way to do this... SO I was writing to protest a current event- the ONLY place it belonged was on CE.

YOU are the only one upset by it, the reason for this is you made a small public goof in replying to my post - you are angry that that happened and have directed your anger at me, when in fact I have not done _anything_ wrong (aside from some typos in my 'news-story).

AGAIN, You are the only one upset at my post, the preceeding reason I outlined is the only logical reason for your anger. Furthermore, this reason is clearly obvious to anyone reading our thread which, unlike my original post, IS off-topic... So by continuing this diatribe against me you are only prolonging the embarrasment.

finally my comment about critical thinking was because you accepted that it was possible to just make a proclamation that Almanacs were banned and voila! they are banned immediately! Lindy, it just cant be done! ANYONE knows thats impossible! THAT is why I did not think my post would be taken seriously after the first line...
