Unemployment figures
Unemployment has gone down to 5.7 percent, but much of that is apparently due to people leaving the labor force, since only 1,000 new jobs were officially created in those industries that are tracked for these numbers.
The new jobs do not include jobs in new businesses, self-employed people, or farm workers.
