Moon base vs Moon bus

If we want to go to the moon to stay this time, it will have to be a base. I like the bus too though so why not both? lots of exploring will need to be done around Shackleton Crater and elsewhere.

I think a base on the moon is far cooler than the ISS. It is far simpler to construct than a space station and would be vastly larger, so that would make it more interesting. Get some tractors up there to dig holes and we can bury huge inflatable living quarters each the size of football fields. The regolith would protect against solor radiation. In time the base could accomodate hundreds of scientists and workers. It would build domes so peaole could actually walk on the moon without suits when radiation levels are not a danger. It will pay for itself with rocket fuel production and make mindboggling discoveries with telescopes on the far side. It won't just have science modules and sleepiong quarters; it will have recreation facilities, theaters, resturaunts. It will be a VERY cool place where people will want to go!
