The fact remains. The "anti-war" movement as a national phenomenon dried up almost the second it stopped being politically useful. Which was, of course, the point you sidestepped.
I've noticed other things, too. Obama campaigned and played golf while New Orleans was clobbered by another hurricane on the anniversary of Katrina. The same dogs that howled all through Katrina stayed quiet. Deficits routinely topping the trillion mark have suddenly become a non-issue. The debt clock ticked over the $16 trillion mark as the Democratic convention convened. Did we hear about that? Sit, doggie.
There are more examples. Others can pick them out as easily as I can.
