Tom is making the mistake of by default associating Christians as a group with conservatives and then getting defensive. Ironically, I think the strongest conservatives here are either atheists or very limited in their religious activities. (Probably the space science aspect is a major factor)

That site is hysterical. This doesn't look like a website run from a basement either. Money and time have been spent on that site. Psycho hose beasts are psycho hose beasts. The atheist bit is priceless. God forbid the kids talk to to someone who lives in the 21st century instead of the 1st! Let's use the kids to map the atheists houses and pass out flyers to the kids of which houses to avoid on Halloween, lest they find themselves face to face with a grumpy atheist!
