I can't see what point you're making in between the "oddly", the "would almost think", "get the impression", "not from an academic", etc.
I said that the government estimates including a recovery show a structural deficit larger than the tax cuts, so they were really a tax loan. If Bush had kept a hold on spending it may have been different but it wasn't.
No one credible is projecting they'll pay for themselves so they'll just go on adding to the deficit until someone cuts spending, raises taxes or the country goes bankrupt.
It's not a tax cut. Your supply side nonsense doesn't work yet again. Stockman explained all that in "The Triumph of Politics". That's why Reagan had to raise taxes 12 times and Poppy had to as well.
Bush will never raise taxes though. He got ridiculed so much all his life he can't bear to look wrong, so he'll never change course. That iceberg will just have to get out of the way.

The whole thread (23 posts)
- Tax cuts...the second wave
- so some wealthy people got large tax cuts and like them. This is news? Where are the screams of pleasure from the Joe Sixpack level? (n/t)
