Silence is golden...
Other times, I want music - biking, in the car, in a room full of jabber.
The whole idea of the pocket music machines is to free yourself from your stereo system or PC for music on the go. I'll grant you many of us suffer from media overload --- (BACON BITS!!) -- and that's when the on/off switch comes in handy.
Time to turn off all the lights and gadgets, brew a cup of tea, and watch the colors fade as the sun falls over the distant hills.
It's all a Question of Balance, a matter of CHOICE (try reading that in a mirror, inverted*), and the power to shape our thoughts and moods by controlling the environment.
When I'm feeling creative, I sometimes crank Max, Flash or Photoshop; other times, I'm happier with an HB pencil and a sketchpad. Sometimes I like the sound of crows' caws blowing on the wind; other times I want my MTV.
