Also Democrat spending would be likely to stimulate the economy since it targets people who spend with a high multiplier.
Taxing money out of the economy and then passing it out again (minus a large cut for the government overhead) with great fanfare is never going to do as much for an economy as simply leaving it there in the first place. It is useful for getting the votes of people who don't know much about economics but like the loot.
I understand that the Left feels that our leaders have a much better and wiser idea of where our money should go than we do, but I disagree.
