Being conservative does not come with a package deal of your choice: a picture of the Pope or an all purpose crucifix for your wall. Yes, I know - how dare I mention anything about western culture! Study of western culture classes were outlawed twenty years ago!

Why didn't Don shout out the significance of this high casualty count? Here we have almost the entire Iraq war's US casualty count killed in one lousy day! (272+244=516) Where is the left's horror? Where is this concern about the sanctity of life? Was actually getting rid of Saddam and his dictatorship less worthy a goal to die for than throwing pebbles at a pillar that symbolizes Satan?

I know the answer. The USA and George Bush are the great Satan for going after Saddam and getting 500+ US servicemen killed. Yet in the same breath they can turn around and call FDR one of the greatest Presidents whose anti-dictator war killed about 300,000 Americans (just because he gave us our unconstitutional minimum wage and social security.*)

Hypocrisy? No, No! Hitler was a real dictator you see. The millions of Iraqis killed in deathcamps and such events as the gassing of the Kurds will never equal the gassing of the Jews.^ Saddam was also no threat to the US you see. He was minding his own business in his palaces and his army couldn't even shoot straight. His invasion of Kuwait? C'mon Kuwait is not Poland! It's an arab nation for goodness sakes, you should know by now that arab deaths are only meaningful if the US is somehow involved! Weren't you paying attention in your humanities classes?

Bush is the great Satan! He recaptured the Congress, actually did something for AIDS victims and has actually changed the dynamics of the middle east towards democracy and freedom!

And if that list is not awful enough - his vice-president used to work for a company that is making money off of the reconstruction of this freed nation.

^Gassing Jews is very, very bad. Blowing Jews up as a last resort form of political protest well that is understandable. If the Nazis had had one suicide volunteer for every chamberful - now that would have been perfectly acceptable.
