Odin, saddm enslaved, tortured and murdered at will a whole nation for over 20 years. And deployed chemical weapons in warfare. And paid bounties to terrorist families for killing Jews. And all you can do is focus on a particular turn of phrase of someone? Ed
Well, no. R2D2's "particular turn of phrase" isn't all I can focus on. But when someone can't even use sarcasm without misstating the facts, it demonstrates a blatant disregard for truth and honesty that should be below even Republican standards. How many obvious untruths in one post is it necessary to point out before you'll concede that the poster is blathering nonsense?
Kinda ironic that we supported Saddam while he was enslaving, torturing and mudering at will during some of those 20 years. Bush's [41] ambassador April Glaspie even told Saddam we don't take sides in border disputes. Then he invades Kuwait and suddenly, according to Bush [41], Saddam is "worse than Hitler."
Wasn't he worse than Hitler when we supported him? And if so, how much worse than Hitler and Saddam were the Iranian Ayatollahs, given that we took Saddam's side? Did the Ayatollah Khomeini "enslave, torture and murder at will a whole nation" to a greater extent than Saddam?
Btw, your assertion that Saddam "murdered at will a whole nation" is sloppy hyperbole (and untrue), although I doubt it was intentional. Try to do better.
