Gen. Hussein Kamel was the highest ranking defector from Saddam's inner circle and the head of Iraqi WMD and missile programs for 10 years. Testimony from such a well-placed defector would be an obvious intelligence bonanza, unless of course it didn't go along with the scare-mongering the Bush admin. was working so hard to perpetuate.

We know now that Gen. Kamal was telling the truth. Of course, we may not have been sure of it in 1995, but the very fact that his critical testimony was suppressed and virtually ignored by gthe mass media can only lead one to the conclusion that the Chickenhawks probably knew it was true, and took measures to keep it under wraps.
