Yes, but.......
Aragonite is usually precipitated out of hot solutions (read: volcanic activity)
Calcite is usually precipitated out of cold solutions (read: seas, lakes, rain, groundwater etc)
Calcretes would probably be cold and probably calcite.
But I think we've probably beaten this subject to death....
