re: Color image of light colored material near Opportunity lander.

Hi, Robert.

During today's news briefing a reporter (didn't catch his name) from New Scientist Magazine said that they received that question via e-mail. One of the geologists (I'm terrible with names) said that the 'lighter' material beneath seemed to be made up of another layer of fine grained/dust materials and that he wouldn't call it 'white'. They can't verify it's make up at this time.
