The issue wasn't tax cuts or not it was who should get the tax cuts to stimulate the economy. I don't mind short term tax cuts as a stimulous. I do mind permanent tax cuts than run up the deficit. Im also mind the TK comment when the Republicans are porking it up as much as the Democrats. Cheney has even admitted it claiming it as the spoils of victory and that deficits don't matter.
And just as I won't fall for Democratic rewrites of views on Iraq, I'm not falling for the BS that tax cuts proposed when the Fed was still trying to slow an over heated economy were DESIGNED to be the optimal recession stimulous or that that was even their primary motivation.
