And I thought conservatives only marched in mindless lockstep behind their leaders. ;)
Compare to the current Democratic Party, for whom, in the last two months, no less than three candidates have been--separately--universally lauded as the most brilliant candidate ever to be eligible for election.
It's a lot of fun to follow a cartoon like "Doonesbury," which has sequentially gushed over Clark and Dean. Only the two-week delay in publication still has Trudeau pushing Dean. In a week or so, Kerry will be anointed in Doonesbury--between attacks on Bush--as the best human being to walk the Earth in 2000 years. Wait for it.
Kerry, like Bush, still has to worry about the undecideds and moderates. Unlike Bush, his base will vote for him even if he clubs a baby seal to death on national TV. Their sole objective is beating Bush.
