Strong words there, young feller.

I don't think I've ever posted to you, maybe something about the marginal deterrent effect of US troops in Korea, may have decided not to do that. Anyway, I need to catch up a bit.

Let me tell you something entirely honest, intellectually and otherwise. I've always paid a bit more attention to your posts than some others because of your willingness to put your body up for grabs. Many of us wonder what we'd have done had we a choice of military service. We didn't. We may have had some say in "what" and "how", but not "if". You did, and it says a lot for you.

Now, moving on. I don't know and haven't found the way "search" is conducted. If I've misunderstood you folks regarding Kerry's alleged affair, I apologize.

However, some of the posts I CAN find, such as this strongly imply that folks wanted to believe it. (TB is talking about the haste the media is abandoning the story, rather than pursuing it, and contrasting that with the treatment received by a Bush.)

Ajd later on, to his credit, I think Tom described this as a "non-starter".

I don't see you weighing in on it, maybe you did, nor did I see LarryJ.

So, I owe Tom an apology, this is it. On my limited behalf I mostly focussed on subject lines and scanning.

If I owe one to you, let me know how.

Now, J. K. "I don't think you (Bowser), Odin, or Greg, have intelectual (sic) honesty."

Strong words there, young feller. Mighty strong. You're going to have to help me with that one. For instance, I know that Clinton lied. Agree with conservatives there, even if I'm liberal on social-economic issues. And it's a demonstrated fact Bush lied. And yet conservatives insist he didn't.

Who, in that case, is intellectually honest? It isn't both of us.

And there are more just like that. You're going to have to be a bit more precise if I'm going to understand your statement.

By the way, what does "regards" mean to you? Seemed somehow inappropriate. Didn't quite appear, shall we say, "intellectually honest" though it might have been. (Bad Dog!! Just couldn't resist the tweak.)
