Punk did nothing for me.
New Romantics made even me feel kinda macho.
The techno stuff bored me to tears.
That takes us to about 84 - the rest of the decade's trends passed me by.
So got my kicks - from beginning to end,,,
bopping to Blondie
buying Queen's back catalog
progressing from Q and Meatloaf to HM - particularly Iron Maiden and Metallica (OK, OK, and Kiss)
discovering Sisters of Mercy and Bauhaus (I was goth in a non-pale face, non-dark, natural hair colour kind of way)
mellowing out to more easy going bands like BOC and Dire Straits*.
I missed most of the Yank hair bands - I find VH1 Classic to be mostly hilariously big-haired and bad
And yes Fox - it was my twenties. :-)
*and yet I got that one wrong int quiz.
