Irony.
We're the strongest nation the world has ever seen, largest economy and largest military, and we still don't regard ourselves as "safe".
We aren't as "safe" as Raoul's Belgium, with a defense budget, I'm assuming, much smaller than ours and with a democracy as strong as ours. If part of the rest of the world "just hate freedom" as GWB claims, why don't they hate Belgium?
What does it take? 4, 5 or 6 times stronger than ROW combined? More nukes? A variety of JSFs? UAVs, so we can assassinate with impunity?
Or is the way we're going about it fundamentally flawed?
