The article on Ray Palmer is fascinating (thanks to Don Davis for sharing it with us!). However I would still argue that Adamski is the father of modern day UFOs. I believe it was Adamski who first invented the scheme of constructing elaborate UFOs from old metal lampshades decorated with bits of common hardware. Adamski then had somebody throw the UFO from the top of a building and he'd photograph it before the model hit the ground. Even in this day and age of Photoshop and digitally enhanced images, the best UFO photos are still Adamski's.
