re: National Geographic on CD-ROM.
I just got them, and have not had time to really get into them. It appears that they are scanned and the text is part of the picture. In other word, we can not select the text. Their might be a 3rd party software that allows text extracting from picture, kind of like what Adobe Writer does to pdf files. Might be worth looking into.
My Father-in-Law told me a joke about National Geographic being a communist plot. Eventual, or so the theory (joke) goes, the growing Mass of National Geographic in America will cause America to collapse to the center of the Earth.
