My beef is that I am seeing no follow through by this administration, and I think it is a crass attempt to woo us....
My beef is that when he did make the announcement, he was ridiculed and attached for it by the democratic party. I am serious:
I DONT WANT HIM TO SUPPORT IT OPENELY.
THE CLOSER HE IS TO THIS PROJECT THE MORE THE DEMOCRATS WILL WANT TO KILL IT.
YOU CALLING HIM TO SUPPORT IT WILL CAUSE IT TO BE KILLED, NOT BY YOU, BUT BY PEOPLE LIKE YOU IN THE ASPECT OF THIER DISLIKE OF BUSH.
No, I give you a lot of credit, and respect you, I expect a lot from you, and I will not confuse you for some ludite, you clearly aren't. However when you take the time to respond to a village idiots' ramblings about Haliburton Conspiracys in a manner that will egg him on or support him, what am I to think?
Futhermore nothing bothers me more than "damned if you do, damned if you don't". Which is exactly the spot Bush is in. If he supports his space initiative openly, he is clobbered with BS from the left about a trillion dollar space plan at a time we dont need it. If he doesn't support it openely, he is trashed for not supporting it. The best support he can give it now is not to apear anywhere near it, and to let NASA quietly work on its goal. He did a good job starting this space initiative, but commited a stupid mistake by apearing at a conference to announce it himself.
I'm not asking you to love him, like him, or even vote for him, but can you give the guy a quarter of an ounce of credit for doing something right, whether intentional or not?
Regards,
Justin Kelly
p.s. sorry for the delay in response, things are busy.
