Politics just isnt a factor for me when it comes to space- if Satan popped up and offered a believeable proposal i would support it-

My problem is that this proposal emphasizes cutting back on space in the short term with the idea that a few administrations from now we will do grand things that cost 100's of billions.... Bush WILL NOT be president when the piper has to be paid- that seems like a deliberate cop out

the 'space initiative' scales us back and the promised payoff is decades away- Justin, you and I both know that only the scale back will see life- the 'vision' of the future will be cancelled quietly, if not by this president then by the next... I am being a realist....

I want this to be clear- if Bush had offered a serious plan I would support it and, hell, I might even vote for him since that is my top priority (and to be frank the democratic side looks little better)... he didnt and I think what he offered was a slimy way of cutting back while looking 'visionary'
