But they already can run deisel engines on vegetable oil with only minor adjustments to the carboration process. Diesel engines have always had fuel injection, never carbeuration.

Its already very close to "economical". Just need to get the information out and start convincing truck stops to carry two types of fuel. There is a need to produce sufficient biomass-based fuel. There is not nearly enough today. http://www.altenergy.org/casestudies/cwt/cwt.html

The Good news: Soy Deisel works better than petroeum based deisel fuel! Source, please.
