It should have survived peaked heating

Beagle-2 should have entered the atmosphere and survived peak heating provided they didn't screwup the entry vector and it skipped off the atmosphere. If the electronics survived the cold soak of interplanetary space and the G-sensor still worked then Beagle-2 should have jettisoned its heat shield before augering in. After that, things would be difficult to predict. If it tumbled then it might have scattered bits of itself all over the place. If it shredded its parachute then it might have deployed its airbags which would have immediately sheared off and then augered in. There are lots of scenarios where there could have been pieces of Beagle-2 laying about on the Martian surface. There are many different ways that Beagle-2 could have failed.
