Yeah- but it gets to be like the "this is the axe that George Washington used to chop down the cherry tree" story....
(See, after you replaced the Axe head 3 times and put a new handle on it 5 times....)
The B52s are just those rare pieces of equipment that were so well built and so valuable that its worth re-engineering and re-building them in the field. Sort of like Civil Infrastructure...
