[Opportunity has been suffering power loss due to a faulty heater in its robotic arm since it landed on 25 January.]

I'm wondering if this has anything to do with the last FlatRock/RAT grinding glitch. It's Fall on Mars now and could get colder.

Overall, the folks at JPL and everyone that has been involved with these rovers must be thrilled with the results. It really does seem like a 'new landing' has been accomplished at just about every 'stop' that these rovers have made.
