Quagmire.....
What's the old saw about ...."if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck we can call it a duck".....until we can better define it, quagmire works.
And if any of you had been in VietNam, it think you would agree that quagmire might be one the milder terms applied to that situation.
What I really want to know about Iraq is, when Bush does his Nixon imitation, and declares victory and pulls out all American troops, the oil revenues are controlled by the Shia, OPEC gets tight, will gas go to $5.00 a gallon? Will this be the end of the SUV? Will this slow down the import of Chinese autos?
Will the sun come up tomorrow?
