The left claimed that under the sanctions millions of Iraqi babies were dying and thousands starving
each year. It turned out that those claims were phony.
But the sanctions were allowing saddam and his pals in France, Germany and elsewhere to profit hugely.
I think the allegations of civilian deaths in this war miss the point entirely, and avoid the fact that saddam had turned Iraq into a concentration camp.
That camp is now closed, and inspite of remnants who fight to reenslave Iraq freedom exists in Iraq and is growing.
