You didnt answer my question. Have you, or have you not read Justin Maki's paper on the colours of the pathfinder site? I think it's clear from your conclusions that you havnt.

Furthermore - if this is simply a Press Dept activity, then why do we not see alternate colour images from elsewhere? Maki et.al. released a paper, not a press release - so why is that so similar to the supposedly press-dept-adjusted images if there is simply a press-recipe for mars images. You are - by inference, alleging that Maki et.al. essentially lie their way thru a peer reviewed paper on the subject.

There are dozens, if not hundreds of scientists involved in the design, build, test and operation of the 10 multispectral cameras that have landed on mars to date - and you honestly believe the same colouration activity is occuring on each and every 'real colour' image which they've ever produced?

You may ask why all of mars looks to be a similar hue - might I suggest that if the sky on earth was pink then much of the earth would appear to be a similar colour also. It's no coincidence that the colour you picked as the colour that all the images are supposedly adjusted with - is infact a very similar, if not identical colour to that calculated to be that of a typical martian sky.

It is simply impossible to suggest that the 'real colour' of mars that we see is simply a pre-determined adjustment made by a press department - without infering that there is some grand scheme. Of the hundreds of scientists who've worked on these missions - not one - NOT ONE has said "these are not the real colour of mars" -NOT ONE has said "actually - it's just like this because NASA says so" - NOT ONE scientist outside of NASA has taked the publicly available data and said "erm - actually - it's not that colour at all"

You may say that you're not alluding to any grander scheme by saying all press images have been processed in the same artificial way - but, if we are to believe you, is it not unlikely in the extreme that out of the hundreds of people involved in these projects, from multiple NASA centres, and multiple Press Depts, not ONE has mentioned what you allege?
