All that -without a single mention of the word Saturation.
A word of warning. Any conclusions drawn from the raw JPG's are totally without any grounding as they are totally uncalibrated and are each adjust in an autoexposute type method which leaves many frames of the same mosaic at different brightness intensities. Image taken thru different filters will actually come out roughtly the same brightness in the raw images, because they are automatically adjusted to be so. Thus - trying to suggest that because something you make from L4,5,6 ( which, incidentally, are anything BUT R, G and B) is different to an image released by Nasa is pointless. Of course it is - you're using images that have been equalized in brightness - NASA is using the properly calibrated images.
The only work one can attempt with them is images where the sundial is visible - and then, frankly, it's impossible to do anything but calculate what it might look like under white light.
Just a thought on your 'work'. What in hells name would the point be in 'fixing' the colour of mars?

- Well done. Now will the water in the canals be blue or green?
