this certainly got me (re)thinking at the time. Rather than accepting the ends justifying the means (ie. where pushing a lie is ok if you believe your principles to be absolutely right), I began to see such lies as evidencing a fundamental lack of principle.

(..and yes, I still do believe Bowser makes some valid points ..)
